I haven't made a post about it yet, so here it goes. The cleaner, much more tidier looking template consists of no sidebar now due to the fact that it will give the user the advantage of any sized signature they want in the forums, full sized videos within the website itself, or even larger screened arcade games! Many other changes include the return of the Community Video Showcasing area, as well as new links to better navigate all the features of the community section. The green in the background is no longer an ugly green, but rather a simple clean looking white look. But not to worry, we did not lose the green styles originally brought to the table by Sponty, cause we still have those in the form of light background colours and many other ways.
The arcade area has moved over to the Community area to make more room and to better incorporate it with the rest of the community, as well as the forums to separate the community area from the many projects we do here. Hopefully this does not cause any problems. Many of these features can be accessed via the drop-down menus inside of the main links above.
Now, on to the upgraded high-tech EXP system. There are many new ways to gain EXP, along with the old ways. This may, in fact, make way to bringing back the old holiday lotteries we used to have. There are many other features coming from this, and that includes an actual ranking system based on EXP, as well as the awards system that was supposed to be released before the start of summer, but never got done. I admit, that was my fault, I kinda forgot. There are many older features we used to have the disappeared because of loss of interested based on active member counts, but I think its time to bring all that back, including the steady stream of new members I keep wanting to get. More of that will come in the VERY NEAR FUTURE. Who's with me on this? Let's bring all the new members to a brand new Total Play Studios!
The McMini is only available in certain area's of North America (most of Canada and the Northeastern US) and luckily, Willy lives in just the right area to buy a McMini and do his review, New York! Join Willy as he brings in the McMini for testing for the first time ever. Could McDonald's could be making due for all the big things they have?
So, I've recently been introduced to this game known as "Minecraft" The game isn't very visually stunning, but the gameplay is actually quite addicting. You CAN play for free, but all you can really do is build. Don't get me wrong, building is a lot of fun, especially with unlimited resources. BUT it doesn't provide a challenge. I bought the game because my friend actually plays this game frequently and some of the structures he has built are just amazing. This game is really a perfect example of Gameplay > Graphics.
So, after you have bought the game (Which is still in Alpha phase, but is only 9.99 Euros or about 12.97 USD) You will finally get a challenge. The point of the game is to simply survive. You must collect resources from your infinite environment. Wood, dirt, sand, and stone are the most common resources you will find. You use these resources to build tools so you can collect resources faster. But, the first thing you really want to do is find a shelter. How do you do this? You make one. You best work fast if you want to avoid the darkness of night and the evils that accompany it.
This may not be a lot of information for you all right now, but trust me, there will be more. Maybe even some videos. *Hint*
The recent Polycount contest for Team Fortress 2 has ended, and the first set of Polycount Packs are slated for release next month. Around twenty new items, including hats, will be added, as well as the new feature 'Item Trading' and a brand new game mode. Keep in mind, it's Valve, so you may have to be patient. This new update will be well worth the wait.
Redwolf's new video project is scheduled to be released this weekend. This is the first video project he has done since he was 15. Where as his skills may have improved, his attitude towards the worst retro games in existance hasn't.
Yup, cleaner and more slick! And to boot, we kept the greenish kind of look while making the forums wider. This is the start of a promise for at LEAST one video project a month from Total Play Studios, whether it be me or another staff member, as well as any other member who are interested. We hope this is the beginning of a bigger and better community were the members actually submit any sort of multimedia content. We hope everyone will be interested in this new idea, and we hope a lot of you bring something to the table!
Hyrule loves to have parties, it seems. This is just another one of those parties, coming in after quite a few parties they've had in Link's world. My fave being Kakariko's, man those guys can party. You would never know it from the video games, they like to keep their secrets, you gotta personally visit the country to actually appreciate everything about it.
The first official Total Play Studios persona for Firefox was released by Mozilla today. It includes the TPS logo, as well as the URL and globe image used in the intro videos on Youtube.
